MDF is a substitute for natural wood. They are made of wood fibers by pressing them at elevated temperature and pressure. In their manufacture, synthetic glue is also added so that the fibers connect and harden better. As a result, the boards are compact, strong and durable.

Depending on the density, there are three types of boards:

HDF (High Density Fiberboard) - density 850 kg / m3;
MDF (medium density fiberboard) - density 650 - 850 kg / m3;
LDF (low density fiberboard) - with a density of 450 - 650 kg / m3.

Unfortunately, MDF boards with foil veneer tend to fade. We will notice them, especially when the foil covering them is not a very high-quality material. In addition, when MDF furniture approaches a heat source, the foil peels off. So let's forget about placing lamps or candles on them.

Laminated chipboard is a multilayer material consisting of properly prepared wood shavings, planer shavings, shavings, etc. They are pressed with the addition of resins under pressure and temperature.

Remember that these boards are cheap material for creating a wardrobe. Their low price allows them to be widely used in furniture production. However, care should be taken, despite the general resistance to moisture, in humid rooms, the edges of the elements should be protected from its effects.
